Service Description
NOTE: This is scheduled as a multi-day class (usually 2 evening sessions, approximately 5 hours each session) or a full-day class. On the bookings calendar, if you select an evening time, that date you are selecting is the date these sessions begin (usually starts on Wednesday and continues to Thursday). If you select a morning time, this is the full-day class (usually on a Sunday). There will also be an additional ~2 hour range session which we will coordinate together. The Fundamentals & Defensive Pistol Concepts teaches the necessary fundamentals of safe gun-handling and basics shooting coupled with real-world defensive applications, including mental preparedness, drawing from concealment, and using cover to help you develop essential self-defense skills. Our training includes using a pistol, with a round count of approximately 250, and requires participants to possess basic equipment such as a quality holster, at least two magazines, magazine pouches, hats, eye pro, and ear pro. Note-taking materials are encouraged to enhance learning during the sessions. Safety is our top priority, so no open-toed shoes and no low cut shirts are permitted during the training. (Ladies please take note, you will be drawing from concealment which requires defeating your shirt to gain access to your gun. Please dress accordingly.) Join us for 10 hours of classroom learning and 2 hours of range time to enhance your defensive capabilities and become more prepared for any situation. For participants to be successful in this course, they should have the following items: • Quality Pistol appropriate for concealed carry – recommend minimum of 9mm. No SIG P320 will be allowed. • Quality Strong Side Hip or Appendix IWB Holster – recommend form fitted leather or kydex, must cover trigger/trigger guard. NO SERPA HOLSTERS. • Quality Belt, designed to carry a holster and a firearm strongly recommended • Quality ammunition suitable for practice. We encourage students to have at least 250 rounds each. NO RELOADS ALLOWED. • Spare magazines with appropriate pouches – (ideally two spares). • Clothing appropriate for concealed carry • Properly Rated Eye protection • Hearing protection - recommend electronic Students will earn an Official Certificate for Defensive Pistol from the NRA. Student will receive courseware. Student will also receive two online courses: Florida CWL and Gunshot Wound Response—free ($109 value).
